Who Are Polar Plunge Participants?

Polar Plunge participants are brave souls who are willing to face the frigid waters of our North Carolina coast in early January, all in the name of supporting Special Olympics Onslow County.

Pledges

Every dollar you raise will stay in Onslow County to support our local program and its athletes.

Plungers have the opportunity to raise money online. Special Olympics Onslow County has an account setup with www.firstgiving.com/SONC to offer plungers who register online the chance to set up their own fundraising page. This makes it easier for family and friends to donate to your fundraising efforts.

Plungers can, of course, collect money in person, as well.

Individuals need only collect $25.00 in pledges to participate.

Those individuals who collect $100 or more in pledges will be eligible for big giveaway door prizes!

Businesses or organizations may register a team with:

  • 8 to 20 plungers for $200
  • 21 to 30 plungers for $300
  • 31 or more plungers for $400

All plungers will receive a T-shirt to mark their participation.
