Special Olympics Onslow County is a totally volunteer-driven program.
All funding comes from donations we receive from businesses, organizations, and private individuals.
Most importantly, all donations received stay here in Onslow County to support the local athletes.
Of special note: Funds that might be donated from Onslow County private individuals and/or businesses to Special Olympics North Carolina go directly into the State’s program, unless the donor states the contributions are directly earmarked for Onslow County local program (SOOC).
Please be sure to note in the memo field on your check that you want the money to be donated to Special Olympics Onslow County (SOOC).
Your generous donations make it possible for us to train, hold local events, and travel to state competitions and games.
Without your support, our program could not exist, and we would not be able to serve the athletes who benefit so much from this program.
Our main fund raising event of the year is the Polar Plunge, held in January. Please click on our Polar Plunge page to learn more.
Additionally, we gratefully accept donations of any amount throughout the year.
Soon, we will have the option to accept donations online. But for now, we will happily accept checks or money orders made out and mailed to:
